Elisabeth Charlotte of the Palatinate, Duchess of Orléans, died on 8 December 1722 at 3:30 a.m. at the Château de Saint-Cloud, aged 70. She was buried in the royal necropolis at the Basilica of Saint-Denis , next to her husband and his first wife.

Description. Elisabeth-Charlotte, Duchess of Orléans (1652-1722), was the daughter of Charles Louis, Count Palatine and Charlotte of Hesse-Kassel. She was brought up by her aunt, Duchess Sophie of Braunschweig-Lüneburg (Electress of Hanover and mother of George I).
