Ip Man [a] (born Ip Kai-man; [b] 1 October 1893 – 2 December 1972), also known as Yip Man, [2] was a Chinese martial artist. He became a teacher of the martial art of Wing Chun when he was 20. He had several students who later became martial arts masters in their own right, the most famous among them being Bruce Lee .

10 de dic. de 2015 · He married Cheung Wing Sing, who's family were descended from Cheung Yum Hang, one of the last of the Ching Dynasty ministers. He had four children, sons Ip Chun, Ip Ching, daughters Ar Sum and Ar Wun. When he was not working, Grandmaster Ip Man liked to get together with other Martial Artists to study and practice.
