Christian, Crown Prince of Denmark, Count of Monpezat (Christian Valdemar Henri John; born 15 October 2005) is a member of the Danish royal family. He is the oldest child of King Frederik X and Queen Mary. [1] He is a grandson of Queen Margrethe II. He is first in the line of succession to the Monarchy of Denmark.
Christian is now first in the line of succession to the Danish throne, after his father, Frederik André Henrik was crowned King of Denmark on January 14th, 2024. In November 2023, the freshly turned 18-year-old took his next step toward becoming King by swearing on the constitution, just like his father and grandmother.
