Description. Christian, Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg was the younger son of Henry Julius, Duke of Brunswick and of Elizabeth, sister of Anne of Denmark. He was a champion of the Queen of Bohemia and raised an army for the Protestant cause in the Thirty Years War.
Biografía. Cristián nació el 9 de noviembre de 1566, siendo el segundo hijo varón del duque Guillermo de Brunswick-Luneburgo y de Dorotea de Dinamarca, fue elegido en 1597 como Coadjutor del Obispado Principesco de Minden y asumió el cargo de obispo en 1599.
