  3. 08/06/2018 · There’s also a rather grim story about Schmiedgasse: In 1525 during the German Peasants’ War, Casimir, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth rounded up 17 local ringleaders on the market square and beheaded them. Their bodies were left on the square for a day and apparently their blood flowed like a stream down Schmiedgasse.
