Christopher (Danish: Christoffer Valdemarsen; 1341 – 11 June 1363), Duke of Lolland, was the son of King Valdemar IV of Denmark and his wife, Helvig of Schleswig. Christopher was appointed duke in 1359 and also was selected to succeed as king.
The Duke of Lolland (Danish: Hertug af Lolland) was a Danish title first created for Canute, Duke of Estonia in 1249. The title was frequently held by princes of the Danish Royal family in conjunction with the Duchy of Estonia. List of Dukes of Lolland
Cristóbal ( danés: Christoffer Valdemarsen; 1341 – 11 de junio de 1363), duque de Lolland, era hijo del rey Valdemar IV de Dinamarca y su esposa, Helvig de Schleswig. Cristóbal fue nombrado duque en 1359 y también fue seleccionado para suceder como rey.
He was given a simple house at Sakskøbing on Lolland, but even that was burned by German mercenaries. Christopher was imprisoned at Ålholm Castle on Lolland where he died a ruined and broken man the next year. He was buried at Sorø Abbey.
