  3. 13 de may. de 2024 · The Cathedral Church of St Peter in Exeter is the seat of the diocesan Bishop of Exeter. It is part of the Province of Canterbury. The diocesan bishop (vacant since 30 September 2023) is assisted by two suffragan bishops, the Bishop of Crediton and the Bishop of Plymouth.

  4. Hace 2 días · As a result of Henry's expansion, St Peter ad Vincula, a Norman chapel which had previously stood outside the Tower, was incorporated into the castle. Henry decorated the chapel by adding glazed windows, and stalls for himself and his queen.

  5. 9 de may. de 2024 · A plaque marking Lady Jane Grey’s grave can be seen in the Church of St Peter Ad Vincula at the Tower of London. In 1876 the chapel was excavated and the remains found were removed and then re-buried. Remains thought to be of Anne Boleyn, Jane Rochford, Duke of Northumberland and Margaret Countess of Salisbury were discovered.

  6. 2 de may. de 2024 · According to the established tradition for traitors, after his execution in 1540, Cromwell’s head was displayed on London Bridge. It was then reunited with the rest of his remains and buried at the Tower’s Chapel of St Peter ad Vincula, where his erstwhile rivals Anne Boleyn and Thomas More had been laid to rest.
