Colson Whitehead es un escritor estadounidense nacido el 6 de noviembre de 1969 en Manhattan, Nueva York. Hijo de Arch S. Whitehead, ejecutivo de empresa consultora, y Mary Anne Woody Whitehead. Tiene tres hermanos. Colson estudió en el Trinity School, centro privado de élite de Manhattan.
Colson Whitehead nació el 1969 en Nueva York. Finalista del PEN/Hemingway con su primera novela, La intuicionista (2000), ha publicado media docena de novelas y el libro El coloso de Nueva York (2005).
