El condado cuenta además con muchos ríos en superficie, entre los que pueden mencionarse el Axe, el Brue, el Cary, el Parrett, el Sheppey, el Tone y el Yeo, los cuales irrigan y drenan los llanos y páramos del centro y oeste de Somerset.  En el norte del condado, el río Chew confluye con el Brístol Avon.

Ballynahinch (from Irish: Baile na hInse, meaning 'settlement of the island/water-meadow') is a town in County Down, Northern Ireland. It had a population of 5,703 people in the 2011 Census.
