Her husband succeeded as Elector Palatine or Elector of the Palatinate (Kurfürst von der Pfalz) on 26 May 1685 and she became the Electress (Kurfürstin), but he died 12 September 1690 and was buried in the Jesuit Church at Neuburg an der Donau.
