At the west end on the north side is the doorway to the rood stair; the upper doorway opens into the nave; the stair is partly blocked.

To the west of this is a much repaired two-centred arch, which now leads to a vestry, and west of this is a wide single-light window, a modern insertion, which probably marks the position of an earlier two-light window.
