Hace 6 días · He entered the RAF College Cranwell in April 1938 as a Flight Cadet. After the outbreak of war Cranwell cadets who had not completed their courses were enlisted in the regular RAF on 7th September 1939 as Airmen u/t Pilots. MacDougall passed out on 21st October 1939 with a permanent commission.

After graduation on 30th July 1937 he received a permanent commission and joined 74 Squadron at Hornchurch. On 20th November 1939 Measures was a member of a section which shared in damaging a He111 fifteen miles off Southend.
21 de mar. de 2024 · He entered the RAF College Cranwell in September 1939 as a Flight Cadet. He carried out his elementary flying training at 9 EFTS Ansty from October 1939 to April 1940, when he went to Cranwell for intermediate and advanced training.
