Not an adaptation, but Bresson's Pickpocket is inspired on Crime and Punishment (many of his other films are also inspired on Dostoevsky, either thematically like in Le Diable Probablemente or by a specific work like in Four Nights of a Dreamer).

  4. I have watched other adaptations of crime and punishment which I have to watch once more to properly reflect on them, but this one is intriguing. I think it sets an interesting tone, there definitely is an atmosphere, but the thing with adapting Dostoevski is that he creates characters in excruciating detail and with immense depth.
