La cumparsita is one of the most well-known Tango songs ever. It was composed by Gerardo Matos Rodríguez . The cumparsita is usually the last song played after the last tanda at a milonga . Alberto Mancione made, in my point of view, a remarkable recording —on June 13, 1952—, which was awarded in Tokyo as the best rendition of that tango.
