Damghan (Persian: دامغان, romanized: Dāmghān) is a city in the Central District of Damghan County, Semnan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. It is 342 km (213 mi) east of Tehran on the high-road to Mashad, at an elevation of 1,250 m (4,101 ft).
