Danish ( / ˈdeɪnɪʃ / ⓘ, DAY-nish; endonym: danskpronounced [ˈtænˀsk] ⓘ, dansk sprog [ˈtænˀsk ˈspʁɔwˀ]) [1] is a North Germanic language from the Indo-European language family spoken by about six million people, principally in and around Denmark.
