    David Stewart was born in 1357 in Dundonald, Ayrshire, Scotland, he was a son of King Robert II of Scotland and his wife Euphemia Ross. He was given the Titles Earl Palatine of Strathearn and Caithness.

    There does not seem any basis in fact for identifying the wife of David Stewart as Eupheme Lindsay. All that is known about her is that she was the daughter of Alexander Lindsay of Glenesk and his first wife, Katherine Stirling.
