David VIII (Georgian: დავით VIII; 1273–1311), from the Bagrationi dynasty, was king of Central and Eastern Georgia in 1292–1302 and 1308–1311. Eldest son of Demetrius II of Georgia by his Trapezuntine wife , he was appointed by the Ilkhan ruler Gaykhatu as king of Georgia as reward for his military service during the Rümelian uprising in 1293.

David VI Narin (1225-1293) de la dinastía Bagrationi fue el rey de Georgia entre 1245-1293. Desde 1253 a 1293 gobernó el reino de Imereti bajo el nombre de David I como estado vasallo de Georgia.
En 1123, el ejército de David liberó Dmanisi, el último bastión selyúcida en el sur de Georgia. Finalmente, en 1124, conquistó Shirvan y tomó la ciudad armenia de Ani al emir musulmán, expandiendo así las fronteras del reino hasta el río Aras. David el Constructor murió el 24 de enero de 1125, siendo enterrado en el monasterio de Gelati.
