Hace 4 días · The Little Dean’s Yard and some buildings in the Westminster School contain portions built prior to the 14th century main cloister (rebuilt after a fire in 1298).

The ordinary public entrance to Dean's Yard is under a Gothic archway, which opens into the Broad Sanctuary.

The 35 square miles of thick woodland in western Gloucestershire, “this heart-shaped land” as native playwright Dennis Potter called it, became England’s first national forest park in 1938.
