Death Is My Trade is the British title of a biographical novel by Robert Merle. The protagonist, Rudolf Lang, was closely based on the real Rudolf Höß, commandant of the concentration camp Auschwitz . Summary. The story begins in 1913, when Lang is 13 years old. His parents give him a harsh Catholic education, to which he reacts badly.

This is a depressing movie, but told in a clear and precise style from an unusual insider perspective on the creation of the Nazi regime in Germany. Contains spoilers. I just heard recently about the movie, when its main actor, Goetz George, turned 70 and journalists looked back on his main works.

Sinopsis. Death Is My Trade (1977) es una película basada en la autobiografía del judío polaco-alemán Robert Déscamps. Trata sobre la experiencia de Déscamps durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, cuando fue deportado a un campo de concentración nazi.
Synopsis. “Death is my Trade” centers on the life of Rudolph Höss, the commandant of Auschwitz II-Birkenau for the majority of its existence. The main character’s name in the film is Franz Lang. This name change was deliberate to ensure that the character is not automatically viewed as being some sort of villain or demon.
