Advertisement In the middle of the park, exactly where the 1911 Durbar was held, stands a tall stone obelisk commemorating the Durbar held in honour of George V’s ascension to the throne.

5 de may. de 2023 · King George V's Mumbai Durbar was in 1911 and historic, marking the shifting of the imperial capital from Calcutta to Delhi and was attended by the Emperor himself. King Charles III will officially be crowned on May 6 at Westminster Abbey, more than a century from when his great grandfather King George V travelled to India to attend his coronation.
