Lediglich zwischen Schweinfurt und Marktbreit liegt keine Bahnstrecke. Während die Strecke zwischen Bamberg und Schweinfurt auf direktem Weg Richtung Würzburg führt, verläuft die Strecke zwischen Würzburg und Marktbreit weiter nach Treuchtlingen.
