Dorothea Susanna von Pfalz-Simmern was born 15 November 1544 in Simmern, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany to Friedrich III. von der Pfalz (1515-1576) and Maria von Brandenburg-Kulmbach (1519-1567) and died 8 April 1592 Weimar, Thuringia, Germany of unspecified causes. She married Johann Wilhelm I. von Sachsen-Weimar-Coburg (1530-1573) 15 June 1560 JL in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
Dorothea Susanne of Simmern (15 November 1544 in Simmern – 8 April 1592 in Weimar) was a princess of the Electorate of the Palatinate and by marriage Duchess of Saxe-Weimar.
Dorothea was born in Kaiserslautern, the only surviving child of the Count Palatine John Casimir of Simmern (1543–1592) from his marriage to Elisabeth (1552–1590), the daughter of Elector August of Saxony . She married on 21 February 1595 in Heidelberg to Prince John George I of Anhalt-Dessau (1567–1618). She was his second wife.
