Life Sabine was a daughter of the Duke Christopher of Württemberg (1515–1568) from his marriage to Anna Maria (1526–1589), daughter of the Margrave George of Brandenburg-Ansbach-Kulmbach.

Sabine is believed to have been instrumental in getting the Duke of Cleves his initial audience with the English king on the matter of the marriage of his sister Anna. The Archduchess and the English king remained friends until his death in 1547. Her Serene Highness died at the age of 72 in her son’s home in Wuerttemberg.
