The main facade is Gothic, while the interior is Baroque. The facade is quite impressive, with statues of Duke Wilhelm and other earlier Bavarian rulers standing tall along with their family tree.

The Staatliches Hofbräuhaus was thus born, and in 1589, the Hofbräuhaus that we know and love today was constructed.
