2024–. Japan. Edward Jones (born 30 January 1960) [1] is an Australian rugby union coach and former player. He most recently coached the Australia national team from January until October 2023. [2] He previously coached Australia, Japan and England. He returned to the role of Japan head coach in January 2024.

A broken leg suffered playing for Exeter in December 2015 meant Slade did not feature for new coach Eddie Jones until the 2016 autumn internationals against Fiji and Argentina. He made his first Six Nations appearance against Italy during the 2017 tournament which England retained.
On 1 January 2021 Martin was selected for England under-20s squad for the 2021 U20 Six Nations, then on 22 January 2021 he was named in Eddie Jones' "Shadow squad" for the senior 2021 Six Nations Championship. He was named as a "finisher" for the England match against Wales, but was not used.

In October 2021 Freeman received his first call-up to the senior England squad by coach Eddie Jones for the 2021 Autumn Internationals. Freeman was also a member of their 2022 tour of Australia and on 9 July 2022 made his debut starting in the second test victory at Lang Park.
