The Honda Indy Edmonton is a round of the IndyCar Series, which is located on a temporary track which is set up at the city airport, near downtown Edmonton. 2005 saw the first event held on the temporary circuit, and it saw record numbers of fans (topping 200,000) which at the time was the most fans to ever attend a race in Canada.
