Edmund Spenser (East Smithfield, Londres 1552/1553-Londres 13 de enero de 1599), fue un poeta inglés, autor de la célebre obra The Faerie Queene (La Reina Hada), un poema épico con una alegoría fantástica que homenajeaba la casa de Tudor y a Isabel I de Inglaterra.
