Hace 3 días · Elwill, of Exeter, 1709. — Sir John Elwill, Knt., whose mother was heiress of Pole of Exeter, was created a baronet in 1709; his son, Sir John, the second baronet, married the heiress of Style of Langley, in the parish of Beckenham, Kent, and settled at that place. He died without issue, and was succeeded by his brother, Sir Edmund.

(fn. 189) His son Edmund, described as a king's clerk, in 1327 had licence to crenellate his house at Langley.
