Edmund Mortimer, 2nd Baron Mortimer of Wigmore (c. 1251 – 17 July 1304) [1] was the second son and eventual heir of Roger Mortimer, 1st Baron Mortimer of Wigmore. His mother was Maud de Braose .

Edmund Mortimer, segundo barón Mortimer de Wigmore (c. 1251 - 17 de julio de 1304) fue el segundo hijo y eventual heredero de Roger Mortimer, primer barón Mortimer de Wigmore. As a younger son, Edmund had been intended for clerical or monastic life, and had been sent to study at Oxford University.
Orígenes. Fue el hijo primogénito de Margarita de Fiennes y Edmundo Mortimer, lugarteniente del Rey Eduardo II de Inglaterra y Gran Juez de Irlanda (1316-1321). Nieto de Roger Mortimer, probablemente Roger fue criado por su tío, el conocido Roger Mortimer de Chirk, quien se hiciera famoso por llevarle la cabeza de Llywelyn el Último Rey de Gales al Rey Eduardo I de Inglaterra en 1282.
