4 de dic. de 2015 · On 28 October 1808, she gave birth to her first child, who was named Eduard Edgar Schmidt-Löwe. Eduard’s father is unknown, but he might have been an officer in the Prussian army. He was later ennobled by his uncle, the Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and carried the last name von Löwenfels.
On 28 October 1808, Anna gave birth to an illegitimate son, Eduard Edgar Schmidt-Löwe. The father of this child may have been Jules Gabriel Émile de Seigneux, a minor French nobleman and officer in the Prussian army.

Illegitimate son of Anna Feodorovna, Grand Duchess of Russia (born Princess Juliane of Saxe-Coburg and Saalfeld) (1781-1860), possibly by Jules Gabriel Emile de Seigneux (1768–1834). Adopted by Edgar Eduard Schmidt-Löwe and ennobled by his uncle Ernst I., Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in 1818 as “von Löwenfels”.
Trapped in a web of legality, the unhappy Grand Duchess indulged in extra-marital affairs and in 1808 gave birth to a son, Eduard Edgar Schmidt-Löwe. Four years later she had a daughter, Louise Hilda Agnes d'Aubert with Rodolphe Abraham de Schiferli, a Swiss surgeon.

Berta Ernestine von Schauenstein (26 January 1817 – Coburg, 15 August 1896), born to Sophie Fermepin de Marteaux. She married her first cousin Eduard Edgar Schmidt-Löwe von Löwenfels, the illegitimate son of her father's sister, Juliane. Ernst Albert and Robert Ferdinand, twins born in 1838 to Margaretha Braun.
