The festival is a three day celebration which includes the Street Scrubbing, the Tulip Luncheon, the Royal Tulip Ball, and a festival among the thousands of tulips that will decorate Washington Park and the entire City of Albany.

She and her court will spend that year involved in volunteer projects, including the Literacy Campaign, which strives to promote the value of reading to children. Each Queen and Court develops initiatives to further their goals and attends numerous events throughout the year focusing on education and community awareness.
