Hace 3 días · On April 25, 1951, film director Edward Dmytryk, one of the "Hollywood Ten" who had been blacklisted in 1947 after refusing to testify, gave a wilful and revised testimony to the House Committee on Un-American Activities. In his revised testimony, Dmyrtyk revealed that the Screen Directors' Guild included seven known Communists.

Blacklisted, Dassin fled to England, where he made one of his best movies, Night and the City (1950).
