She left the bulk of her estate to her three daughters, Adelaide Close, Eleanor Post Close, and Nedenia Hutton. In popular culture. Merriweather Post was portrayed by Ann Harding in the 1943 film Mission to Moscow, a fictionalization of her third husband, Joseph E. Davies's book detailing his time as Ambassador to the Soviet Union.
