Hace 9 horas · Sigismund was elected prince-elector of Brandenburg on two occasions. His first election was in 1378, following the death of his father, Otto V. Sigismund ruled Brandenburg until 1388, when he was forced to abdicate in favor of his cousin, Jobst of Moravia. However, Jobst died a year later, and Sigismund was once again elected prince-elector.
