El 23 de julio de 1536, el hijo de Blount, Henry FitzRoy, murió, probablemente de tuberculosis ("tisis"). Su marido, Gilbert, Lord Tailboys, también falleció antes que ella, muriendo en 1530 pero dejándola viuda con medios económicos. Al casarse con Tailboys, tuvo tres hijos más, dos hijos, George y Robert, y una hija, Elizabeth.

2 de nov. de 2020 · Elizabeth, or ‘Bessie’, is the first woman who is known, with any certainty, to have been Henry’s mistress. She was born at Kinlet in Shropshire in around 1500, making her just a teenager at the time she arrived at Henry’s court.
After Elizabeth, came Rose, Albora, Isabella, George (born 1513), Henry and William. Elizabeth's father John Blount, had been appointed one of the "King's Spears" or Royal Body Guard on £60, 16s. 8d. a year. So Elizabeth travelled to the court with her father. The Queen's maids of honour were given lessons.
