Lady Elizabeth Carew was born in 1528, in Carlow, County Carlow, Ireland as the daughter of Sir Peter Carew of Mohun's Ottery, Devon. She married Sir Robert Edward Drury in 1579, in County Carlow, Ireland. They were the parents of at least 10 sons and 5 daughters.
