Henry died at Hamilton Place, London, in December 1832, aged 66, and was succeeded by his second but eldest surviving son, Francis. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusliers, and fought in the First World War. He was the son of Henry Francis Conyngham, 4th Marquess Conyngham and Hon. Frances Elizabeth Sarah Eveleigh-de Moleyns.
