Elisabeth Pepys (née de St Michel; 23 October 1640 – 10 November 1669) was the wife of Samuel Pepys, whom she married in 1655, shortly before her fifteenth birthday. Her father, Alexandre Marchant de St Michel, was born a French Roman Catholic but later converted to the Church of England.

She was the daughter of Alexandre and Dorothea St. Michel, and a sister to Balty. Elizabeth was born 23 October 1640 at or around Bideford.

Pepys’s diary is an important source for our understanding of the development of the English language, and is cited over 1700 times in the Oxford English Dictionary. Intimate descriptions of Elizabeth Pepys’s ‘terms’, or periods, are recorded several times in the diary.

In the summer of 1663, a ship's carpenter, William Bagwell, and his wife began to cultivate Pepys as a patron, while Pepys cultivated Mrs Bagwell as a mistress. Mrs Bagwell's first name is not mentioned by Pepys, but she was almost certainly called Elizabeth.
