Emma de Waldeck-Pyrmont, mejor conocida como Su Alteza Serenísima la Princesa Adelaida Emma Guillermina Teresa de Waldeck y Pyrmont, tras su casamiento con el rey Guillermo III de los Países Bajos y Gran Duque de Luxemburgo, fue reina consorte de esa nación durante once años.

Adelheid Emma Wilhelmina Theresia, Princess of Waldeck and Pyrmont, daughter of Prince Georg Viktor of Waldeck and Pyrmont and Princess Helena of Nassau, was born in Arolsen on 2 August 1858. Queen Emma, 1929. On 7 January 1879 she married King Willem III of the Netherlands. Their daughter Wilhelmina was born on 31 August 1880.
The young German princess Emma of Waldeck-Pyrmont married the Dutch king Willem III, who was more than forty years older, in 1879. The marriage was controversial in the Netherlands, taking place shortly after the death of Willems first wife, the popular Queen Sophie.
