2 de jul. de 2024 · Robert Waring Darwin FRS was an English medical doctor, who today is best known as the father of the naturalist Charles Darwin. He was a member of the influential Darwin-Wedgwood family. Darwin was born in Lichfield, the son of Erasmus Darwin and his first wife, Mary Howard.

In his poem Temple of Nature (1803), he described the rise of life from minute organisms living in mud to all of its modern diversity.
