4 de sept. de 2022 · In 1908 his father, Dr. Eugene Botkin was appointed personal physician to the Czar of Russia and the family moved to the Imperial residence at Tsarkoe Selo, where they remained until 1917. In the sping of 1918 Gleb Botkin and his sister were separated from their father, who was taken by the Bolsheviks to Ekaterinburg and executed with the Imperial family.

The son of a prominent St. Petersburg physician, he trained at the Universities of St. Petersburg, Berlin, and Heidelberg.
Samuel “Sam” Eugene Botkin, 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior April 28, 2023. He was born January 12, 1934, Fulton County, IL to Samuel and Mabel Carpenter Botkin. He graduated from Bushnell-Prairie City High School in 1952. He married Frances M. Herrin on August 18, 1956, in Smithfield, IL, she preceded him in death August 2013.

St. Eugene Botkin was the court physician for Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra and sometimes treated the hemophiliac Tsarevich Alexei while in exile with the family.
