Blaubeuren Abbey, Evangelical Seminary. The Protestant (Evangelische, Gr.) Seminaries of Maulbronn and Blaubeuren ( Evangelische Seminare Maulbronn und Blaubeuren) in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, are two Gymnasien (high schools) and Protestant boarding schools in the Württemberg tradition.
Die Evangelischen Seminare Maulbronn und Blaubeuren sind altsprachliche Gymnasien für die Klassen 9 bis 12 mit evangelischen Internaten in der Tradition der württembergischen Klosterschulen. Sie sind gemeinsame Einrichtungen der Evangelischen Landeskirche in Württemberg und des Landes Baden-Württemberg.

A few years later in 1817 Blaubeuren became a Protestant seminary with an attached boarding school, which has remained to the present, except for a closure during World War II. The school now operates in co-operation with the similar establishment at Maulbronn Abbey: see Evangelical Seminaries of Maulbronn and Blaubeuren.

In 1830, he became an assistant to a country clergyman, and nine months later, he accepted the post of professor in the Evangelical Seminaries of Maulbronn and Blaubeuren, where he would teach Latin, history and Hebrew. In October 1831, Strauss resigned his office to study under Schleiermacher and Hegel in Berlin.
