Faisal nació el 14 de abril de 1906, en Riyad, Arabia Saudita. Hijo del rey Abd al-'Aziz III ibn Saud. Tomó parte en las campañas militares que emprendió su padre. En el año 1925 lideró al Ejército en la victoria en el reino de Hiyaz, convirtiéndose en virrey al año siguiente.

Faisal was the architect of reform, development, and modernization of Saudi Arabia in its new form after the death of its founder, King Abdulaziz. In 1962, Faisal presented to King Saud his plan known as the Ten Points of Reform.
Faisal bin Abdulaziz was born in Riyadh in April 1906. He is the third son of the former Saudi king and founder of the modern kingdom, King Abdulaziz Al Saud. His mother was Tarfa bint Abdullah bin Abdullatif Al Sheikh, whom Abdulaziz had married in 1902 after capturing Riyadh.
