Hace 3 días · Ferdinand II (9 July 1578 – 15 February 1637) was Holy Roman Emperor, King of Bohemia, Hungary, and Croatia from 1619 until his death in 1637. He was the son of Archduke Charles II of Inner Austria and Maria of Bavaria, who were devout Catholics.

Hace 4 días · Ferdinand III was King of Germany and Holy Roman Emperor for a time in the 17th Century. He was notably emperor when the Thirty Years War ended. He was born in Graz, in Styria, on July 13, 1608. His father was the eventual Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II, and his mother was Maria Anna of Bavaria.
24 de abr. de 2024 · Elector Ferdinand Maria gifted the castle to his wife Henriette Adelaide after she gave birth to their heir Max Emanuel. The construction started in 1664 and it was completed in 1679. It was designed as a grand Baroque palace.
17 de abr. de 2024 · Nymphenburg Palace was commissioned by Elector Ferdinand Maria as a summer residence for his wife, Henriette Adelaide, and it was built between 1664 and 1675. This sprawling complex later became the hunting lodge of the court, and while it is open to visitors the palace still remains the primary residence of the Duke of Bavaria.
