16 de jul. de 2023 · Frances married Adrian Stokes in March 1554. The couple had at least one child, but none of them survived infancy. She was the daughter of Mary Tudor, younger sister of King Henry VIII and Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk. Her mother had been married to the French king Louis XII and when he died she had married Brandon without the King’s permission.

She was born on the day St. Francis was canonised (in 1228) and her name commemorated the Saint.
