Francis Egerton, 1st Earl of Ellesmere, KG, PC, PC (Ire) (1 January 1800 – 18 February 1857), known as Lord Francis Leveson-Gower until 1833, was a British politician, writer, traveller and patron of the arts. Ellesmere Island, a major island (10th in size among global islands) in Nunavut, the Canadian Arctic, was named after him.
By his will the duke devised his canals and estates on trust, under which his nephew, the 2nd Marquess of Stafford (afterwards 1st Duke of Sutherland), became the first beneficiary, and next his son Lord Francis Leveson-Gower (afterwards 1st Earl of Ellesmere) and his issue.

Francis Charles Granville Egerton, 3rd Earl of Ellesmere VD, DL, JP (5 April 1847 – 13 July 1914), styled Viscount Brackley between 1857 and 1862, was a British peer, soldier and author from the Egerton family. He owned several racehorses and 13,300 acres (54 km 2) land.

Francis Egerton, 3rd Duke of Bridgewater (21 May 1736 – 8 March 1803), known as Lord Francis Egerton until 1748, was a British nobleman, the younger son of the 1st Duke. He did not marry, and the Dukedom expired with him, although the Earldom was inherited by a cousin, Lieutenant-General John Egerton .

Er starb unverheiratet und kinderlos. Die Titel Duke of Bridgewater und Marquess of Brackley erloschen damit, während die älteren Titel Earl of Bridgewater, Viscount Brackley und Baron Ellesmere auf seinen Neffen zweiten Grades John Egerton übergingen. Er wurde in Little Gaddesden beigesetzt.
