Francis Rawdon-Hastings, né le 9 décembre 1754 et mort le 28 novembre 1826, est un homme politique et un militaire britannique qui est Gouverneur général des Indes de 1813 à 1823. Il est connu dans les derniers temps de sa vie sous le nom de « marquis d'Hastings ».
Considering the importance of Francis Rawdon-Hastings, 1st Marquess of Hasttings and 2nd Eari of Moira, it is surprising that no full-length biography has been written about him. The only significant studies of his career have been analyses of his role as governor-general of India in the early nineteenth century.

Both Frederick, Duke of York, and his elder brother George, Prince of Wales (later George IV), were close friends of the Marquess of Hastings (1754-1826).
