Frank McGrath was an accomplished actor who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. McGrath began his career with roles in "The Searchers" (1956) with John Wayne, the Henry Fonda western "The Tin Star" (1957) and "Wagon Train" (NBC, 1957-1965).
Frank McGrath was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. As a teenager he became fascinated with the 7x Mr. Olympia icon and actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger . McGrath was a skinny and undersized child compared to his fellow classmates at the time and would always get picked last to be on teams during physical activities, which led him to begin weight training .

Car Accident. After a lengthy layoff McGrath suffered another setback. In early 2010 Frank was involved in an automobile accident. An oncoming vehicle jumped the median and hit Frank’s car head on. Frank lost his spleen, suffered a collapsed lung, lost three litres of blood and had the skin torn from his previously injured triceps.
