  2. Dudley Ward was returned to Parliament for Southampton in 1906, a seat he held until 1922, and served under H. H. Asquith as Treasurer of the Household from 1909 to 1912. During World War I he was a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve , though this may have been a cover for his counter-espionage work for Admiral Sir William Reginald Hall , Director of Naval Intelligence .

  4. 12 de oct. de 2021 · A gushing love letter Edward VIII, then Prince of Wales, sent to his long-standing mistress, Freda Dudley Ward, will go under the hammer as part of the Cheffins Library Sale on 21st October. The four-page letter was written in 1919, when the then Prince of Wales was aboard HMS Renown on route for a Royal tour of Canada.
